Wellspring Living Capital Campaign
The continuum of care for trafficking survivors is fragmented across multiple locations and providers, making it difficult for survivors to access the comprehensive care they need. Our vision of the Welcome Home Campaign creates a safe space for survivors to call home in Atlanta, Georgia while they progress through an enhanced and expanded care continuum—removing as many barriers as possible to lasting freedom and self-sufficiency. Most importantly, it will help even more victims find their path to healing.
Problem:
Wellspring has a 23 year journey with several programs and demographics. They had five pillars for their programs and with all the great things being done, it was difficult to fully understand the full picture. As the Capital Campaign began, it became crucial to have an easy way for potential donors to quickly understand who Wellspring is, what they do, and what they are looking to accomplish.
Solution:
Set out to simplify the messaging and create a visual one pager to help share the mission in a more understandable way.
STEP ONE: Understand the Purpose
Sought to understand what are the problems are in the human trafficking space that our organization directly addresses.
This framed the focus for the organization.
STEP TWO: Simplify the messaging.
Reframe the Mission Statement:
Original: “Transforming the Lives of those at risk or victimized by sexual exploitation”
New: “We are an anti-human trafficking organization focused on the healing and restoring of survivors”.
This change makes it easier for people who are not in the anti-human trafficking space to understand.
Condense the Pillars:
The five pillars could be summarized into three - became healing, housing, and education.
Summarize and Pair the Programs
step three:
Summarize the ask, impact, and plan to accomplish the goal.
